Our Story

Born in Singapore in 2020, we launched as butter, a label dedicated to creating activewear that was equal parts stylish, versatile and functional. From the very beginning, our focus was clear: in-house designs crafted with premium fabrics, intentionally tailored for the Asian woman.  

As our community grew, so did our vision. In 2022, we entered an exciting new chapter by joining the Love, Bonito family, and reintroducing ourselves as cheak. Together, we share a collective mission: to empower the modern Asian woman with thoughtful designs that moves with her from studio to street.

Founders Note

We started cheak to fill the gaps in our own wardrobe, activewear that not only performed functionally but is stylish and versatile for us to wear all day. For women, like us, who move through early workouts, late nights and everything in between. We hope our designs have made a difference to you - your lives a little easier (and your bags a little lighter).
